Ground Zero was a record store which was owned by Mr. and Mrs. Lutz. It occupied a couple of different locations over the years, having shows in the basement of the first location, shows on the main sales floor at the second location, and practice spaces on the second floor of the final location. All the locations were on Bardstown Road, enjoying a moderate level of success until the store folded in 2001. The Lutz's now operate a video game repair/sales business out of the final Ground Zero location across from the Taco Bell on Bardstown Rd.
