The city isn't really known for very many punk and hardcore bands (outside of maybe the Hookers), but has aquired an innovative assortment of experimental, drone, noise, and psychedelic bands in the last 4 or 5 years. In the realm of Indie, Lexington has a rich and vibrant history. Lexington was the home of now defunct Elephant 6 Records, which released for Neutral Milk Hotel, Olivia Tremor Control, Apples in Stereo, Beulah, Of Montreal, and many more. | ||
